To help retailers in the city and its villages stay in touch with news, events and other business intelligence, the City of Sydney has launched a bi-monthly retail e-newsletter, Talking Shop.

We aim to help your business benefit from what’s happening in the city, from its vibrant global image, to its international festivals and events and innovative small business development programs. Talking Shop also includes information on how to get on board with the new Talking Shop Series of Seminars and start a conversation with the people you need to talk to about the things that affect you.

Who should sign up?

Anyone with an interest in retail in the City of Sydney.

This includes everyone from the Central Sydney shopping centres to independent stores, landmark stores, and intimate boutiques in the city’s villages including Paddington, Newtown, Surry Hills, Glebe and Darlinghurst to name a few.

Retail in Sydney is not just about big department stores – it’s also the collections of stores housed in beautiful historic buildings, small designer boutiques tucked away in winding alleys, and the cafes, restaurants and attractions that keep people coming back to experience shopping in Sydney.
