Happy Christmas and New Year

Christmas is a time when we take a break from the hectic demands of daily life, spend time with family and enjoy ourselves.

Our decorations and celebrations in the CBD and villages will help you do just that – make this Christmas a great one.

We’re putting on free concerts – in the City, Rushcutters Bay, Rosebery, Alexandria and Surry Hills.

We’ll be lighting of our Christmas Tree in Martin Place and celebrating in Hyde Park. Both these City events will bring great entertainment for the whole family.

Our decorations this year are fantastic. Our giant 21 metre Martin Place Christmas tree will be showered with 58,000 LED lights, more than 300 stars, and topped with a shimmering star.

Pictures of Christmas-themes will be projected onto Town Hall every night from 24 November until Christmas.

So everywhere you look – there will be the hallmarks of Christmas: decorations and events to make you want to get outdoors, spend time together and celebrate.
